It is located right at the southern end of the iconic Bund Promenade, offering unparalleled access to the Huangpu River and the city’s most famous landmarks.
2. How far is the hotel from Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG)? Shanghai Pudong International Airport is approximately 40 kilometers from the hotel. A taxi ride typically takes about 45 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic. Alternatively, guests can take Metro Line 2 directly from the airport to East Nanjing Road Station, which is just a 3-minute walk to the hotel.
3. How far is the hotel from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport (SHA) and Hongqiao Railway Station? Shanghai Hongqiao Transportation Hub (Airport and Railway Station) is about 18 kilometers away. A taxi takes roughly 30 to 40 minutes. For public transit, you can take Metro Line 2 or Line 10 directly from Hongqiao to East Nanjing Road Station, placing you steps away from our doors.

6. What are the check-in and check-out times? Standard check-in time at MaxX By Steigenberger on the Bund is 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 PM (noon).
7. Can I request early check-in or late check-out? Yes, early check-in and late check-out are available upon request and are subject to room availability at the time of your arrival. We recommend contacting the front desk in advance so we can do our best to accommodate your schedule.
8. What is the hotel’s pet policy? To maintain the pristine “quiet luxury” environment and ensure the comfort of all our guests, pets are not permitted at MaxX By Steigenberger on the Bund Shanghai, with the exception of certified service animals.
